> Exact crafting grids for the server's special items, from wards, waystones, runes and Capture Eggs to Work Orders, Ender Hoppers, the Smeltery and invisible armor, with links to the kitchen and furniture recipes.

This page holds the recipe of every special item the server adds, one grid each, except the kitchen and furniture, whose recipes have pages of their own (see [Kitchen and furniture](#kitchen-and-furniture)). Lay the items out exactly as shown at a crafting table, unless the caption says the order doesn't matter. Each recipe links to the page that explains what the item does.

For the extra vanilla recipes, such as eight logs into four chests or stairs back into blocks, see [Crafting & recipes](/wiki/tools-and-quality/crafting-and-recipes) and [Small tweaks](/wiki/tools-and-quality/small-tweaks).

## Land

### Wards

A ward protects the land around it. You can buy one with coins from `/ward shop`, or craft it. Crafted and bought wards are the same item and stack together. A ward can't be used as an ingredient, so the Advanced Ward needs a real beacon, not another ward. How wards work: [Building & claiming](/wiki/gameplay/building-and-claiming).

<Recipe
  ingredients={[
  ['iron_ingot', 'iron_ingot', 'iron_ingot'],
  ['iron_ingot', 'ender_eye', 'iron_ingot'],
  ['iron_ingot', 'lantern', 'iron_ingot'],
]}
  output={{ label: 'Basic Ward' }}
  caption="Basic Ward: 7 iron ingots, an Eye of Ender and a lantern. Guards 10 blocks out."
/>

<Recipe
  ingredients={[
  ['diamond_block', 'nether_star', 'diamond_block'],
  ['obsidian', 'beacon', 'obsidian'],
  ['iron_block', 'iron_block', 'iron_block'],
]}
  output={{ label: 'Advanced Ward' }}
  caption="Advanced Ward: 2 diamond blocks, a nether star, 2 obsidian, a beacon and 3 iron blocks. Guards 30 blocks out."
/>

<Recipe

  caption="Super Ward: 4 obsidian, 4 Eyes of Ender and a crying obsidian. Guards 50 blocks out."
/>

| Ward | Shop price | Reach from the ward | Members |
| -------- | ---------- | ------------------- | -------- |
| Basic    | 20 coins   | 10 blocks           | up to 5  |
| Advanced | 60 coins   | 30 blocks           | up to 10 |
| Super    | 100 coins  | 50 blocks           | no limit |

## Travel

### Waystones

Every waystone uses the same shape: an <McIcon id="ender_eye" /> Eye of Ender on top, a <McIcon id="block:lodestone_side" label="Lodestone" /> lodestone between two <McIcon id="amethyst_shard" /> amethyst shards, and three matching blocks along the bottom. The bottom block sets the style. How to name, share and travel: [Waystones](/wiki/travel/waystones).

<Recipe
  ingredients={[
  [null, 'ender_eye', null],
  ['amethyst_shard', { label: 'Lodestone', image: 'https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/misode/mcmeta@assets/assets/minecraft/textures/block/lodestone_side.png' }, 'amethyst_shard'],
  ['andesite', 'andesite', 'andesite'],

  output={{ label: 'Waystone' }}
  caption="An andesite waystone. Swap the bottom row for another style."
/>

| Style      | Bottom row: 3 of                                                                |

### Strange Rune

Put an emerald above an Eye of Ender. No Eye of Ender yet? `/rune shop` sells a blank rune for 50 coins. How to save a spot and travel: [Astral runes](/wiki/travel/runes).

<Recipe
  ingredients={[
  [null, 'emerald', null],
  [null, 'ender_eye', null],
  [null, null, null],
]}
  output={{ label: 'Strange Rune' }}
  caption="An emerald over an Eye of Ender makes one Strange Rune."
/>

### Strange Block

Save a spot in a rune first, then surround it with obsidian. The block becomes a pad that sends anyone to that spot.

<Recipe
  ingredients={[
  ['obsidian', 'obsidian', 'obsidian'],
  ['obsidian', 'Ignited Strange Rune', 'obsidian'],
  ['obsidian', 'obsidian', 'obsidian'],
]}
  output={{ label: 'Strange Block' }}
  caption="8 obsidian around a rune that holds a saved spot."
/>

## Mobs

### Capture Egg

Put an egg above, below, left and right of a gold nugget. You get four. Throw one at a mob to catch it in a spawn egg: [Catching mobs](/wiki/gameplay/catching-mobs).

<Recipe
  ingredients={[
  [null, 'egg', null],
  ['egg', 'gold_nugget', 'egg'],
  [null, 'egg', null],
]}
  output={{ label: 'Capture Egg' }}
  outputCount={4}
  caption="4 eggs and a gold nugget make 4 Capture Eggs."
/>

## Work Orders

A Work Order gives a copper golem a job. All seven use a copper frame around a sheet of paper, with the job's tool in the bottom centre. How to hand one to a golem: [Work Orders](/wiki/work-orders).

<Recipe
  ingredients={[
  [null, 'copper_ingot', null],
  ['copper_ingot', 'paper', 'copper_ingot'],
  ['copper_ingot', 'hopper', 'copper_ingot'],
]}
  output="paper"
  caption="Courier Work Order: 5 copper ingots, paper and a hopper. The other jobs swap the hopper for their tool."
/>

| Job | Tool in the bottom centre | What it does |
| ---------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------- |

| [Collector](/wiki/work-orders/collector) | <McIcon id="bundle" /> Bundle         | Picks berries, melons, cane and more, and empties furnaces |

## Automation

### Ender Hopper

An eye of ender, a respawn anchor and a hopper, stacked in one column. Any column of the grid works. It pulls in drops from a 9 × 9 area: [Ender Hoppers](/wiki/automation/ender-hoppers).

<Recipe
  ingredients={[
  [null, 'ender_eye', null],
  [null, { label: 'Respawn Anchor', image: 'https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/misode/mcmeta@assets/assets/minecraft/textures/block/respawn_anchor_side4.png' }, null],
  [null, 'hopper', null],
]}
  output={{ label: 'Ender Hopper' }}
  caption="Eye of Ender over a respawn anchor over a hopper."
/>

### Ender Hopper Minecart

The same column with a minecart with hopper at the bottom. It collects as it rides the rails.

<Recipe
  ingredients={[
  [null, 'ender_eye', null],
  [null, { label: 'Respawn Anchor', image: 'https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/misode/mcmeta@assets/assets/minecraft/textures/block/respawn_anchor_side4.png' }, null],
  [null, 'hopper_minecart', null],
]}
  output={{ label: 'Ender Hopper Minecart' }}
  caption="Eye of Ender over a respawn anchor over a minecart with hopper."
/>

### Smeltery

Craft the core, then build its shell around it. Some furnace recipes then give two outputs instead of one: [The Smeltery](/wiki/automation/the-smeltery).

<Recipe
  ingredients={[
  ['cobblestone', 'cobblestone', 'cobblestone'],
  ['cobblestone', 'furnace', 'cobblestone'],
  ['iron_ingot', 'comparator', 'iron_ingot'],
]}
  output={{ label: 'Smeltery core' }}
  caption="5 cobblestone around a furnace, with 2 iron ingots and a comparator along the bottom."
/>

## Storage and decor

### Bundle

The server's bundle recipe takes the place of the usual one. It needs a container in the middle. A bundle can pack a whole chest for a move: [The bundle](/wiki/storage/the-bundle).

<Recipe
  ingredients={[
  ['string', 'leather', 'string'],
  ['leather', 'chest', 'leather'],
  ['leather', 'leather', 'leather'],
]}
  output="bundle"
  caption="2 string, 6 leather and a chest. Rabbit hide works in place of leather, and a trapped chest or barrel in place of the chest."
/>

### Display case

Put a stick above, below, left and right of a glass block. Place it and right-click it with the item you want to show: [Display cases & decor](/wiki/gameplay/furniture-and-decor).

<Recipe
  ingredients={[
  [null, 'stick', null],
  ['stick', 'glass', 'stick'],
  [null, 'stick', null],
]}
  output={{ label: 'Display Case' }}
  caption="4 sticks around a glass block."
/>

### Compressed items

Fill all nine slots of a crafting table with the same item and you get one compressed item. The small grid in your inventory is too small. Treat these as one-way: the recipe has no reverse. More: [Cauldrons](/wiki/tools-and-quality/cauldrons).

<Recipe
  ingredients={[
  ['carrot', 'carrot', 'carrot'],
  ['carrot', 'carrot', 'carrot'],
  ['carrot', 'carrot', 'carrot'],
]}
  output={{ label: 'Compressed Carrot' }}
  caption="9 carrots make 1 Compressed Carrot."
/>

Nine works for each of these: <McIcon id="beetroot" /> beetroot, <McIcon id="blaze_rod" /> blaze rods, <McIcon id="carrot" /> carrots, <McIcon id="egg" /> eggs, <McIcon id="ender_pearl" /> ender pearls, <McIcon id="gunpowder" /> gunpowder, <McIcon id="potato" /> potatoes, <McIcon id="rotten_flesh" /> rotten flesh and <McIcon id="sugar_cane" /> sugar cane.

## Gear

### Invisible armor

Put an armor piece, its material and a drinkable Potion of Invisibility (normal or long) in any crafting grid, the small one in your inventory included. The piece keeps its protection and only the look goes away. Full details: [Invisible armor](/wiki/combat/invisible-armor).

<Recipe
  ingredients={[
  ['diamond_chestplate', 'diamond', null],
  ['Potion of Invisibility', null, null],
  [null, null, null],
]}
  output="diamond_chestplate"
  caption="Any order. The chestplate comes out invisible when worn."
/>

| Armor        | Material        |
| ------------ | --------------- |
| Leather      | Leather         |
| Chainmail    | Iron ingot      |
| Copper       | Copper ingot    |
| Iron         | Iron ingot      |
| Golden       | Gold ingot      |
| Diamond      | Diamond         |
| Netherite    | Netherite ingot |
| Turtle shell | Turtle scute    |

To make it visible again, craft the piece with a milk bucket. You get the empty bucket back. An <McIcon id="anvil" /> anvil also works both ways for 3 levels: the piece on the left, the potion or the milk bucket on the right.

### Armored elytra

This one is made in an <McIcon id="anvil" /> anvil, not a crafting grid. Put an <McIcon id="elytra" /> elytra and a chestplate in the two slots and take the result for **1 level**. It flies like an elytra and carries the chestplate's armor: [Armored elytra](/wiki/combat/armored-elytra).

### Infernal Wings

This upgrade is made at a <McIcon id="smithing_table" /> smithing table. Put the **Infernal Feather** in the middle slot and an <McIcon id="elytra" /> elytra in the right slot. It needs no template, so leave the first slot empty. The feather is a reward from the Hovering Inferno: [Nether expeditions](/wiki/gameplay/nether-expeditions).
