Yes, Java and Bedrock players play together on Sunday Market. It is a public, 18+ cross-platform survival SMP where both editions share one persistent world, with the same builds, chat and economy. Bedrock players join with their own Bedrock identity and need no Java account.
Connection facts
Both editions use the same address. Only the port and the menu screen differ.
Bedrock sign-in
The server runs a bridge that handles Bedrock sign-in for you. You log in with the account you already use on Bedrock, and that identity is what other players see in chat. You don't need a Java account, client mods or anything extra on your device.
Bedrock names carry a leading dot, like .YourName, so they never clash with a Java name. Include the dot when you type a Bedrock player's name in a command, as in /msg .YourName.

Consoles
Console Bedrock is locked down: Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo restrict third-party servers, so you can't type in an address. The workaround the wiki documents uses a free relay app, BedrockTogether, on a phone or tablet.
marketsunday.com and port 19132.Editions
Chat, the economy, the world, the welcome kit, brewing and Astral runes work the same on both editions, and player kills count across editions. You can /msg a player on the other edition and see them in /list. Bedrock skins show correctly to Java players.
Client versions differ by edition. Java: Java 26.1.2 – 26.3; recent older releases also connect. Bedrock: 26.30 – 26.51. The crossplay guide goes deeper.
Parity
As of September 2026, 19 of the 31 accounts that have joined Sunday Market are Bedrock players, a majority. Bedrock players get the same world, the same systems and the same rules as Java players, and the server maps its 152 custom biomes for Bedrock clients too.
New systems on the server get one test before they count as done: Bedrock players have to be able to use them.
FAQ
Yes, through a relay app. Consoles block typed-in server addresses, so the wiki's method uses the free BedrockTogether app on a phone or tablet on the same Wi-Fi.
