Calling Bell
Craft and ring a special bell to summon a wandering trader to you on demand, instead of waiting for one to wander by.
Wandering traders show up on their own timer and almost always spawn nowhere near where you're actually working — so their rotating stock of odd goods, saplings, dyes and rare seeds is easy to miss entirely. The Calling Bell fixes that. It's a special bell that summons a wandering trader straight to you. When you want a trader, you ring for one.
How to use it
- Craft the Calling Bell at a crafting table.— it's a special variant of the ordinary bell
- Place it somewhere you can reach — or hold it — and ring it like any bell.
- A wandering trader arrives near you, leashed llamas and all, ready to deal.
- Browse the offers and buy with emeralds, the same as any wandering trader.
After you call one, the bell needs time to recharge before it can summon another trader. If ringing does nothing, give it a while and try again.
Tips
- Set the bell up near your base or trading hall so a fresh trader always appears somewhere convenient.
- Wandering trader stock is random and rotates. If the offers aren't what you want this time, wait for the bell to recharge and call another.
- Traders behave normally once summoned. They pack up and leave on their own after a while, so buy what you came for before they wander off.
Coins don't buy from a wandering trader — bring emeralds. To earn the emeralds, or the coins to trade with other players, see the pages below.
