Stoker
A copper golem that keeps a furnace, smoker, or blast furnace fed — fuel to the fuel slot, smeltables to the input slot, and never the wrong thing crammed in.
A Stoker tends your smelting. Give one a Stoker Work Order, a supply chest, and a furnace, and it keeps the thing running: fuel into the fuel slot, raw items into the input slot, so you're not babysitting a furnace line while you do other things.
The recipe
The drop-off must be a furnace, a smoker, or a blast furnace — a Stoker won't bind to anything else.
How to use it
- Craft the Stoker Work Order.— copper frame + paper + furnace
- Right-click a copper golem holding the Work Order.— the slip is consumed; a ✦ Stoker nameplate appears
- Tap the pickup container — where the fuel and smeltables are kept.— a 30-second bind window; both stops within 48 blocks
- Tap the furnace, smoker, or blast furnace it should feed.
The Stoker is picky in the best way: it takes from the pickup only what that furnace accepts — fuel for the fuel slot, smeltables for the input slot — and it never crams the wrong item in. If it leaves something in the chest, that furnace simply has no use for it. Stack your supply chest with coal and raw goods and walk away.
Brewing stands are a Courier job, not a Stoker one — and the Courier knows to put blaze powder in the fuel slot.
Tips
- Want the finished items moved out of the furnace too? Add a Courier from the furnace to a storage chest, or sit a hopper under it.
- Feeding a row of furnaces? One Stoker per furnace is simplest, or bind several Stokers to the same supply chest.
- Pair a Restocker to keep the supply chest itself topped up with fuel.
Good to know
- The Stoker works only while a player is within 64 blocks of the golem or its containers — it keeps your furnaces fed, it doesn't smelt for you offline.
- It carries 16 items per trip, one type at a time, and never duplicates or voids a thing.
- Oxidation never slows it — full speed until it fully oxidises and freezes. A frozen one glows; wax with honeycomb. See Golem Care.
- The Work Order is consumed on assignment.

Courier
A copper golem that carries items from one container to another, on foot — 16 at a time, with an optional seven-slot filter for what it may touch.
Restocker
A copper golem that keeps a container topped up to a target — pulling just the deficit from a supply so the shelf never runs dry and never overflows.
