The Bundle
Use an empty bundle on a chest to carry its contents, then transfer them into an empty chest at your destination.
A 
bundle can pack the contents of a single chest for a move across town. Use an empty bundle on a filled chest, then unpack it into an empty chest at the other end. This is a chest-transfer trick; the bundle does not gain a sort button or a separate inventory menu.
Craft a bundle
The recipe places a chest, trapped chest, or barrel in the center, six rabbit hides around it, and two strings in the top corners. Leather can replace the rabbit hides. Both versions make one ordinary-looking bundle.
Pack and unpack a chest
- Use an empty bundle in your main hand on a single chest that holds the items you want to move. Leave the block directly above the chest empty.
- Pick up the filled bundle that appears. The chest is emptied when the transfer succeeds.
- At the destination, place an empty single chest. Put the filled bundle in your offhand and leave your main hand empty.
- Use the empty chest. Its slots receive the bundle contents.
The packed bundle carries the chest's item stacks together. It is useful for moving a mixed chest without sorting its contents into your own inventory first. You can still use bundles normally for small loose items.
Do not use this transfer on a chest containing another bundle. The packing step rejects nested bundles, including filled bundles inside shulker boxes. If nothing transfers, check that the source is a single chest, the bundle is empty, and the space above the chest is clear. For unpacking, the destination chest must be empty.
