Coasters

Roller coasters with loops, drops and track that floats in the air. Staff build them; any player can climb in and ride.

Coasters are rides, not transport. Their track is not made of rail blocks: the server draws it in the air, so a coaster can loop, corkscrew, run upside down and dive through a canyon without a single support pillar. The cars are train carts that follow that drawn track.

Riding a coaster

Walk up to a coaster's car and get in the way you enter any minecart. Most rides start and end at a platform. Sneak to get out once the car has stopped. Nothing to craft, no command to learn.

Stay off a coaster's track while it runs: some sections hang in mid-air.

Who builds them

Staff build coasters. The track ignores the ground, so a player-built coaster could pass through spawn, the market or someone else's base, and no claim or ward would stop it. Keeping construction with staff keeps every build safe.

If you have a ride in mind for your town or a spot near spawn, ask staff with /helpop. Bring the idea, the place, and permission from whoever owns the land.

Bedrock players

Bedrock players can try the rides, but expect less than Java players see. The track and its decorations are drawn with display objects that the Bedrock bridge does not fully support: parts of the track may not show, and the car can lag behind or jump between positions. Ordinary trains on real rails are the better choice for Bedrock.
