Spawners and stacks
Collect a spawner, place it at a new farm, and read the count on stacked mobs and drops.
A dungeon spawner can become part of your home farm, provided the area's building rules let you break it. Use a pickaxe, pick up the dropped spawner, then place it at your new site. Silk Touch is not required here, and an eligible break drops the spawner every time, whether it was naturally found or placed by a player. The item falls on the ground, so pick it up before you leave.
Placing spawners together
Place another spawner of the same kind on an existing one to form a stack. Its floating number shows how many spawners are in that spot, up to 32. Right-click a placed spawner to open its information window and check its spawn conditions. A stack still needs a nearby player and room for its mobs to appear, so give your farm clear spawning space.
The same stacking system also groups nearby mobs and loose item drops. A number above a mob or item pile tells you how many are there. Villagers and copper golems are left separate. Killing a mob in a stack normally removes one mob, with the others remaining for later hits.
If the spawner is inside someone else's protected area, the area's building rules still apply. Find your own spawner or ask the owner before changing their farm.
